I am directed by Mr. Le Chamberlain to acquaint you, for the information of the Margins of Lansdowne, that the following telegrams have been received today:
1. (on the 26" instant) Hong Kong telegraphs: "I think that I could raise a Volunteer Corps to 1000 Men during a crisis. The Battalion of Welsh Fusiliers stationed here is required for South Africa. The Welsh Fusiliers have 800 men fit for service.
