as he may direct and may inflict a further penalty not exceeding five dollars for every day after such date, during which such person, secretary, or manager shall fail so to comply.
Every fine or penalty imposed under this Ordinance shall be recoverable summarily under the provisions of The Magistrates Ordinance, 1890.
15. The enactments specified in the schedule to this Ordinance are hereby repealed.

I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled "An Ordinance to make further provision for the sanitation of the Colony and to repeal certain enactments of the closed houses and Insanitary dwellings Ordinance, 1894."
and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions.
Objects and Reasons
The object of this Ordinance is to improve the sanitation of the houses in this Colony by making minimum open spaces of certain dimensions compulsory at the rear of every building in this Colony, no matter when such building was erected.
