Sir,
I have the honour to transmit for your consideration the enclosed extracts from a letter from the Inspector of Schools, recommending that a grant-in-aid be allowed by this Government towards the erection of a new school-house at Fairlea.
2. The specification of contract and a plan of the proposed building have been submitted and approved on the advice of the Director of Public Works.
3. I have further ascertained that the Female Education Society, by which this school was formerly supported, has been dissolved, and that the school is now under the management of the Church Missionary Society, which is also the owner of the property, and I am satisfied that the circumstances are such as are in accordance with...
