I have the honour to enclose for the information of His Excellency a copy of a letter I addressed to the Comptroller and Auditor General on the 25th August last on the subject of the payment of Military Contribution on the rates collected on tenements occupied by Military Officers and afterwards refunded; and also a copy of a reply to the letter in question.
