With reference to your Despatch dated 14th Instant I have the honour to inform you that the following are the only answers I can give to the charges brought against me:

Charges 1, 2, 3, 5. I am extremely sorry that I was Guilty.

As regards No.4 accusing me of being in the "Stag Hotel" from 6.30 to 8 a.m., is false.

When I was transferred to Hongkong I got my meals in the "Stag Hotel" until I got a house for myself; but never as stated in paragraph No.4 was I there from 6.30 to 8 a.m.
