The undersigned have been appointed by His Excellency the Governor to act as a Committee for making arrangements for the celebration of the completion of the Sixtieth Year of the Reign of Her Majesty the Queen.
In order to commemorate this unique event in a fitting manner, it has been decided to arrange for General Rejoicings on the 22nd and 23rd June next, and to establish the following permanent Memorials:-
(1) A Road round the Island.
(2) A Hospital for Women and Children and a Nursing Institute.
Subscriptions are cordially invited for carrying out the above programme.
