* nothing unforeseen occurs wither to reduce the Estimated Revenue or to increase the Expenditure I am prepared to concur in the crew expressed in your Despatch no 163 of the 30th June last that it will not be (20/06/69) necessary at present to have recourse to increase any of taxation.
10. Turning to the different heads of Expenditure I am prepared to approve the grant of an Additional Shroff with Salary $480 a year & an Additional Clerk with Salary of $480 a year, rising to $480 a year as recommended in your Despatches No 227 of 17th August & No 230 of 18th August last. Provision does not appear to be made in the Draft Estimates for these two appointments.
11. I am willing to approve the grant of the new Overseer for the Waterworks Dept at $960 a year; and also the grant of an additional Clerk to that Dept at a Salary of $360 a year, which was recommended in your Despatch No 247 of the 25th August last. Which no provision appears to be made.
