Mudre was

an officer who

was

provisionally

affixed to a permanent post in 1889, and confirmed in the said post in 1890. Through mistake he was engaged on agreement to

work

on

the Praya Reclamation was, in 1892, and the agreement

was renewed in

1895. But it was discovered that he had received the permanent post in 1890,

and

was

restored to the permanent establishment (in 1898), his status being that of an Executive Engineer seconded for

work on the Praya Reclamation works.

Wished to know what were the terms of the Colonial Secretary's letter
