As the reciprocity of appointments between this Colony and the Straits is practically confined to Officers usually appointed by the Secretary of State from England (and particularly Cadets) I do not think there is any necessity for discussing the salaries of offices other than those so filled.
The matter therefore resolves itself into a consideration of the salaries of the following officers leaving out those already the same,
Governor
Colonial Secretary
Assistant Colonial Secretary
Treasurer
Director of Public Works
Postmaster General
Registrar General
Assistant,
