I, Sir William Robinson, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael & St George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, have examined the following documents, that is to say, Affidavits of Birth, and I have satisfied myself by such examination that the person whose photograph is hereunto annexed, was born in the said Colony of Hong Kong of a father and a mother on the day of , and I, therefore, believe the said person to be a British Subject.
