Article VI:

Extent of present Arrangement.

The present arrangement refers only to correspondence, i.e. letters, postcards, prints, commercial papers and samples. The exchange of money Orders, letter with value declared, etc., will make, if necessity, the object of future arrangements.

As to parcels, until the conclusion of a special Arrangement, the Chinese Postal Administration will continue to transmit and distribute all postal parcels ordinary, insured, or taxed with recovery of value coming from Hongkong or abroad handed to it by the Hongkong Post Office or its Shanghai Agency; and it will continue to forward its parcels for abroad through the Hongkong Post Office or its Shanghai Agency franked with Hongkong Stamps at the Hongkong tariff.

Article VII.

Responsibility and Liability.

In case of the loss of a registered article of correspondence or of a closed mail the Administration which had undertaken its transport and cannot account for its delivery or transmission will be held responsible for the registered articles contained in the lost mail, within the limits of Article 8 of the convention of
