# Proposed survey of Territory in Kwang Tung Province recently leased to Great Britain by China.Sir,
I have the honour to inform you that I have received from the Secretary to the Government of India a communication regarding the above survey annexing copy of a note from you dated 13th April last on the same subject, and concluding with the information that you had been instructed to place yourself in communication with me with a view to the settlement of all further details as to the constitution, equipment, and time of departure of the survey party. With the object in view I now address you.
I note that the Government of India have slightly modified the proposals put forward by you, and that the following staff is considered sufficient to undertake the survey and should receive pay at the rates named in each case.
