I am inclined to share Lord Lansdowne's

view that the Principal Army Medical Officer

might with advantage be a member of the

Board, and I do not understand why his nomi-

nation by the Governor need lead to further

complications, but, if you still entertain

strong objections to interfering with the

status quo, I am prepared to await a further

report before insisting on any change.
