present. It is work of a very responsible nature and should
only be intrusted to one in a responsible position. It is
impossible to imagine that this work can be done by me, as
at present. I have far more work than I am able to perform;
as my work and its amount (owing to the nature of the work in this
department) can easily be shown if there is any doubt about it.

that immediate steps may be taken to improve the condition of
