It was possible to join him in camp that evening at Sheong Tsun. I started at once S.V. skirting the foot of the hills over an easy pass of which I know into the Pat Heung Valley and arrived in camp about 7:30 p.m. I had heard firing about 5 p.m., and pushed on as fast as possible but the guns arrived too late to take any part in the fight. I reported my arrival to Lieut. Col. The O'Gorman when he got back to camp about 9 p.m.
