Attends from 7 a.m. to noon or from noon to 5 p.m. on outward mail days, if on afternoon duty, attends from 9 a.m.
Duties.-
Sorting. Closing mails. Write up London letter book. Prepare Boxholders list monthly.
Close mails for Colombo, Egypt, Mauritius & Rangoon by British packet; Colombo, Mauritius, & Marseilles by French packet; Colombo & Mauritius by German packet; Kobe by British, French, American, & Canadian packets.
Clear newspaper bins.- Kobe, Ningpo, Swatow, Macao, Haiphong, Hoihow, & Pakhoi; clear missorted & missent papers.
Has 3 months Sunday duty.
