better wages for rust office employees I recommend as a "quid pro quo" way; as a convenience for the public the Money Order Office to be open from 9 to 5 instead of from 10 to 4 as at present, and all the 10 to 4 officers to have their hours extended from 9 to 5. It will be no hardship on the seniors, they do more now.
If my recommendations as to better pay for the Juniors are entertained the incapables can be gradually weeded out. At any rate if my suggestions as to bags are acceded to the reliefs will have to be extended to six hours 7 am to 1 p.m. and Noon to 6 p.m. so that each relief may pack up and stow the mails that have arrived in their spells.
My recommendation involves an increased expenditure of $6,576 exclusive of alterations for fittings:-
