a partner in the Ki Sang.
I have a fifth share. The Ki Sang
is at No. 185 Queen's Road Central.
I have been a partner in the Ki Sang since July 1895. I have been manager of the Ki Hing Jawnshop at 127 Queen's Road Central since 1886, and I am still the manager of the latter Pawnshop.
In 1880 a man called Lai Ying of the Leung Jik Pawnshop and another man called Tsan Ising-chan, formerly accountant in the Ki Sang Pawnshop, collected all the money from Pawnshops in Victoria to give to the Police, and they continued to collect it up to 1894.
In 1895 and 1896 Lai Ying alone collected the money, Tsan Ising-chan having left the Colony.
In 1897 no one collected from the Pawnshops on account of the Lane Bribery Scandal and none has
