Statement made by Wong Hau to P. C. Han ta Kwok
In the 14th year of Kwang Hsu, Stanton raided a large number of Fantan gambling establishments and arrested them for the masters of the gambling houses.
The masters consulted together and sent Cheung Hoi and Wong Kwok to enquire of Stanton whether he would accept bribes or not.
Stanton agreed to accept bribes, and Cheung Hoi reported the fact to Wong Kwok.
