On the 15th day of the X Moon at 8 p.m.

on the Praya at West Point, Cheung Boi and Wong Kwok paid Two hundred dollars in notes into the hands of Stanton.

After that all the money that was paid to pay up to 1892, Stanton was paid by Cheung Hoi. Cheung Boi continued to the 17th year of Kwang Hsu when he was banished. I know this because the Masters of the gambling houses frequently told me they were paying the money. After Cheung Hoi was banished, Stanton ordered Yeung Fat to tell Wong Kwok to receive every day Five dollars from each of the five Fantan gambling houses for him.

The five gambling houses then paid Twenty-five dollars a day to Wong Kwok to pay to Yeung Fat to pay to Stanton. In the 17th year of Kwang Hsu, in the middle of the V Moon, the five gambling houses were shut up and gambling discontinued.

1892 to 1893.

In the 18th year of Kwang Hsu, Fantan gambling was carried on at No. 3 Cheung Hing Street, No. 4 Ta Lane, No. 2 Ring Lung Street and sometimes in Stanley Street, and Stanton ordered Yeung Fat to tell Wong Kwok to collect Five dollars, "bush-money" a day from each house for him.
