I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your favour recently received enquiring as to what regiment of soldiers from, remaining in the Walled City and in reply I beg to state that there are two Regiments of 100 soldiers styled the "Left" and "Right" respectively, my escort and in addition to these, the four stations at the gates and two outside the Walled City, termed "Gwan" braves, East and West Camps outside the Walled City, leased territory, had after handing over to the Walled City, been transferred.
