wa Hospital
for first quarter of 1899
(Minutes.)
Sir Hamilton Lucas
It is gratifying to learn that the number of patients treated in
this anomalous institution continues to increase, the decrease
being mainly in the number of patients treated by
Chinese methods.
The best part of the Hospital's work
seems to be vaccination
1685 vaccinations
in Hong Kong and Kowloon
were performed in
the outlying villages
in the
first three months of 1899, as against
1588 in the whole
of 1898. The relief
work also shows a decrease; mortuary functions,
about the same. 49.2%
