I have received a letter from Mr Tutcher in which he complains that the Treasury has acted wrongly in deducting locally from his allowance for quarters the amount of his contribution to the Widows' & Orphans Fund, which has also been deducted in England from his salary paid there. Mr Tutcher hopes the Treasury will refund the money which he alleges has been wrongly deducted here. Will you kindly look into this matter.
