I have received your communication respecting the sad death of Miss Higgins from Plague at Hong Kong. Miss Higgins was personally unknown to me,
as she is the only one of all the Sisters at the
Government Hospital at Hong Kong who was not origin-
ally recommended from the London Hospital. Por
this reason I am unable to inform the bereaved
friends of what has happened. I remember, however,
that Miss Higgins was recommended to you by Miss
Vincent, the well-known Matron of the Marylebone In-
firmary. I have, therefore, forwarded your letter
to her with the least possible delay, and no doubt
she will communicate with Miss Higgins's relatives
in due course.
I am,
Yours faithfully,
Eva. 6. Ex. Lückes
