With reference to your letter of the 14th
May last, 10472/98; I am directed by the Secretary of
State for War to enquire whether any reply has been
received from Hong Kong to Mr. Chamberlain's letter
on the subject of the estimated cost of the proposed
road between Wanchai and Wong-nei-cheoung.
