With reference to your letter dated 30th
March 1897, 6205/97, forwarding copy of a despatch addressed
by the Secretary of State for the Colonies to the
Governor of Hong Kong regarding the provision of a more
efficient defence against Torpedo Craft; I am desired by
Lord Lansdowne to say that he would be glad to know
