Sir:-

I have the honour to ask your instructions on the

following case:-

I have received from a Lawyer in Hongkong a Certi-

ficate, dated June 1st, of Incorporation of the Canton

Wharf and Godown Company in Hongkong under the Compan-

ies Ordinances 1865-1890. I have also received a copy

of the Articles of Association of the said Company.

It appears that the applicants for the registration

of the Company are John Andrew a man earning a pre-

carious living with Chinese as e commission agent,

J.P. Cottam who has a small foreign outfitter's store

in Hongkong, Win. Farmer, one of the proprietors of the

New Victoria Hotel, Sit Ming Cook, a Chinese merchant,

in Canton, Sin Tak Fan, described as a clerk in Queens

Road Hongkong, Sit Wong and Chan Tak described as
