We William etc., decree in the name of the
Empire, after due approval of the Bundesrath and
Reichstag, as follows:-
1.
The Imperial Chancellor is empowered to grant
to the Company, which in consequence of the Laws of
April 6th, 1885, of June 27th, 1887 and of March 20th
1893 undertook postal communications with Eastern
Asia and Australia, an increase of the present sub-
sidies to the extent of 1,500,000 Marks (£75,000)
yearly in consideration of a fortnightly service to
China. He is also empowered to grant a fifteen
years' extension of the whole combined services,
which are now extended by the increased subsidies
now afforded.
