In acknowledging the receipt of your Note of the
3rd instant in which you informed me that Her Maje sty's
Secretary of State for the Colonies, considering the
Insurrection in the Philippine Islands at an end, has
decided to withdraw the Proclamations issued in the
Straits Settlements, in Hongkong, and in Labuan prohi-
biting the exportation of Arms to those Islands,
I have the honour to inform you that I am this day ac-
quainting ny Colleague the Minister of the Colonies
with the withdrawal of the proclamations in question.
