Sir:-
I have the honour to state to Your Excellency
that Dr, Mordtmann, German delegate, announced to
the Board of Health on the 2ath ultimo, an outbreak
of plague at Hong Kong and called the attention of
the Board to the pots of confectionery brought hy
that
the Pilgrims and which are enveloped in rage,
Dr. Mordtmann declared, ought to be destroyed by
fire.
Dr. Cozzonis observed that the attention of the
Health Officers in the Red Sea and Persian Gulf will
be called to the arrivals from India and from Hong
Kong and more especially to the Chinese pilgrime.
