With reference to your despatch No. 201 of the

16th. August last, I have the honour to forward to you the

enclosed pension papers of Messrs. W. Stanton and W. Quincey,

late Inspecters in the HongKong Police Force,

Mr. Stanton is 'eaving HongKong for England on

the 22nd. instant and he will be paid his pension locally up

to the date of his departure. I request that the Crown Agents

may be instructed to make future payments to him on account

of pension after that date, His pension is payable at

4.0

to

the dollar,

Mr. Quincey will draw his pension in local cur.

rency for the present, his intention being to reside in Shang.
