I have the honour to transmit to you, as the
Senior Un-official Member, the report, with affilated papers /
of a Committee recently appointed to enquire into the ques-
tion of the salaries of Chinese Government Officers.
His Excellency the Officer Administering the
Government would be glad if you would confer with your col-
leagues the Un-official Members of the Legislative Council
on this matter and favour the Government with your joint
or individual views on the subject at as early a date as you
can conveniently manage.
