I am a Constable in the Hong-Kong Police Force
I have returned from England to-day. Before I left the Colony
I was on the Detective Staff. I had been on the Detective
Staff for 4 years previously.
Three years ago Chu Tsai Kan came to me and
said that there was gambling going on in Wa Lane and that all
the Detectives were getting money. If I wanted some I could
go with him to Sam Yin and he would arrange it.I went with
Chu Tsai Kam to see Sam Yin. I went to No.3 East Street.He ar-
ranged to pay 80 cents a day to Chu Tsai Kam for me. Since
that time Chu Tsai Kam has been receiving money for me at the
rate of 80 cents a day and paying it to me at intervals of a
few days or a week. He paid me up to the time I left for Eng-
land. Sometimes the gambling was stopped and then I got no
money

I know that previous to the beginning of this
year P.C.319 Yeung Fat used to receive bribes for P.S.No.3
Mc.Iver and P. C.No.43 Holt, Yeung Fat used to receive $1.50 a
day for Holt. He only paid Holt $1 a day. I do not know how
much he received for and paid to Mc.Iver.
At the beginning of this year Holt altered the
arrangement because F.C.Yeung Fat was cheating him, and he ar-
ranged
