sir,
I have the honour to report that another Eu-
ropean Constable,on examination shortly after arrival,has
been found to have defective eyesight.
I refer to Herbert Hartley who arrived by
the S. S. "Bengal" on the 20th. instant.
He is suffering from Myopia of the right eye
with astigmatism and retinitis.
This may be remedied by treatment, it will
necessitate his being in Hospital for a month.
