That your petitioner's late husband having entered the service before the passing of the "Widows and Orphans Pensions Fund terdinance", was not a contributor to the said

fund under the said prdinance

That at the time of your petitioner s

late husband's death he was entitled under the Pension regulations to a pensioro for the period of his services

That your petitioner is informed that it has alway been the custom to present the Widow of any officer

of the said Government who may die in the performance of their duty with A sum equal to one month's pay for every year the husband

may have served the said Government .
