Sir,
I have the honour to inform you that the Crown Agents for the Colonies have been authorised to pay to W. Watting on his personal security, the sum of thirty pounds.
M.G.W. has been given an advance of 4/- on account of his salary, to be repaid in the Colony at the current rate of exchange by such instalments as you may see fit to direct.
I have sanctioned the repayment being made at 4/2. The Dollar in this case, instead of at the current rate of exchange, in view of the special agreement with W. Watting, a copy of which was forwarded in my despatch no. 93 of 27 April last.
