I have private matters prior to departure for Hong Kong. I beg to draw your attention to paragraph 4 of the above-quoted letter, which does not agree with the conditions under which I first submitted my name for the appointment, as it did not mention that I had to refund my passage money outward in the event of my failing to hold the appointment for the period of 3 years.
