I have the honour to report that I am returning to Hong Kong by the German Mail, leaving Genoa on the 6th instant, in order to resume my appointment in the Public Works Department of that Colony.
Before leaving I would beg to apply for and were due to my salary of Three thousand dollars per annum ($3000). I have been thirteen years (13yrs) in the service of the Colony as Clerk of Works.
