As to par. 1 we must tell him

the amount is I believe

to refer

to the Directors

of the Fund.

As to par. 2 we

proposed to the

Govt. of the Straits to amend their Law so as to allow officers transferred

Since that date the Ceylon Ord.

has been amended so as

to allow

transferred Ceylon Officers (see Ord. in Ceylon Govt. Gazette 1904/47.8.5.139 4553);
