to the Directors
of the Fund.
As to par. 2 we
proposed to the
Govt. of the Straits to amend their Law so as to allow officers transferred
to other service to continue to contribute, but when the Govt. of Straits demurred to this, you agreed to drop the proposal (see m13557/96).
Since that date the Ceylon Ord.
has been amended so as
to allow
transferred Ceylon Officers (see Ord. in Ceylon Govt. Gazette 1904/47.8.5.139 4553);
