With reference to your letter No. 10892/97 of the 28th May, I have the honor to submit for consideration that I might be allowed to draw the pension that I am entitled to in respect of my Colonial service from the 30th July next, on which date I take up my appointment in the English Prison Service.

My Colonial service is as follows: appointed to the Hong Kong Court Constabulary on the 21st October 1886, approved by Secretary of State.
