£350. On this he could hardly live in the most expensive part of the town & take his
holidays in Japan.
Send a copy of both these letters to Dr Manson
& ask if he did advise as stated, & say that
in view of the fact that Mr F's Salary now amounts
to $2670 per annum, there is force in his contention
that it was impossible for him to follow out the instructions
given
