The Deposit Notes of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank in the hands of the Registrar of the Supreme Court were surveyed several times and a large test given to the cash receipts. The Estates in Bankruptcy administered by the Official Receiver as Trustee, were examined on several occasions.
12. The bonds given by officers for the due discharge of their duties were examined at the close of 1895 by a Board appointed by the Governor. The Board duly reported on the bonds to the Colonial Secretary.
13. Several months of the Store Books of the Public Works Department were checked with satisfactory results, and a test survey of between 40 and 50 articles made. A special report on this survey will be sent when the replies to queries raised are received.
14. The Store Account books of the Gaol were largely tested with satisfactory results.
15. The Police Store Accounts were examined in detail for one quarter and stock taken satisfactorily.
16. The books recording issues and receipts of stationery kept in the Colonial Secretary's Office were (4) called
