I am directed by Her Majesty's Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs to request you to inform Mr Secretary Chamberlain that Mr R. Wilde has been appointed Consul of the United States at Hong Kong.
Her Majesty's Exequatur has at once been issued to this gentleman, as he is not resident at the place of his appointment.
