I am directed by the Marquess of Salisbury to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 20th instant, inclosing a copy of a letter from Dr Lowson in which he offers his services in connection with the proposed International Conference on the bubonic plague.

In reply I am to state that Dr Lowson's offer will be borne in mind when arrangements are made for the Conference in question.
