China to substitute £45,000
of Metropolitan (Consolidated) 2½ p.c. Stock for Taels 300,000 Chinese Imperial Gov't 5 p.c. Silver Loan Golds of 1894, now held in the vaults of the Bank of England as part security for the Bank's note issue in the Far East, and the C.A. have been instructed accordingly.
