Governor,

I have the honour to transmit to you for your information and guidance a copy of correspondence reporting Miss Catherine McIntosh, Nurse at the Government Civil Hospital, Hong Kong, from which you will see that her services have been temporarily placed at the disposal of the Government of India in connexion with the plague at Bombay, and that she will be paid her Hongkong half salary while in India through the Bombay Government, and that the payments should be made accordingly.

I greatly appreciate the spirit shown by Miss McIntosh in volunteering for this duty, and I have caused her to be so informed.
