With reference to my
telegram of the 2nd inst.
I have the honour to inform
you
that
in
accordance
with
a request from India Office, I have permitted Dr J. A. Lawson to volunteer
for employment in connexion with the plague at Bombay.
His services have been placed
at the
disposal of the
Indian Govt.
on condition
that he returns to Hongkong
in any case
before the end
of
the current year, and
as much earlier
as he can be spared, and that from the date of his
