In answer to your letter of the 22nd inst. I am directed by Mr. Secretary Chamberlain to inform you that he approves of your supplying funding to Hongkong of the fortnightly instalments of £2,500, in cent pieces, and for which repeated by the Govt. of the Colony has indented, up to three further instalments.
A bill has meanwhile been drafted to the Governor of Hong Kong.
