With reference to your letter No 194 of the 15th October last, I am directed by the Secretary Chamberlain to inform you that the Governor of Hongkong has reported that it was owing to an oversight that the payment of a bonus of $50 to Mr R.H. Hay was not reported to this Dept. Mr Chamberlain has now sanctioned this payment.
