under which the bonus was granted were as follows: - The Superintendent of the Gaol represented that since Mr Craig's arrival a new routine had been entirely adopted in the Gaol, entailing a considerable amount of extra work on the Chief Warder, and recommended that Mr. Craig should be allowed to draw the maximum salary of his office after 3 years from the date of his appointment instead of after 5 years, the period mentioned in his agreement.
